What is a Call Attendant ?

A Call Attendant, also known as an Auto-Attendant, is a system which gets callers re-directed without the use of an operator or assistant. The processes and logic used to re-route the caller can be many and varied. For example the caller may be re-routed differently based on time of day, or the caller could select a menu option (or a combination of both).

The service is ideal as a call attendant because it's so flexible.

Here's a simple example of the service being used as a call attendant. The incoming call is first checked against time and day, if the business is open then an ivr menu system takes the call and prompts the user to route to sales, support or an information line.
